This new portal launched by ITC for the organic sector
in developing countries will help exporters, research
centres and other stakeholders in developing countries
to find information on buyers and markets through:
A database of importers and exporters - over 1,860 companies
and assns. are currently listed in this free database.
A portal for organic sector information - standards
and certification, market research, business news and
directories are available. It provides links to certification
bodies, non-governmental organizations and training and
research institues involved in the organic sector worldwide.
APTIAD (http://www.unescap.org/tid/aptiad)
This is a tool for stakeholders to track and analyze the
development of preferential trade agreements. APTIAD is
managed by the Trade Policy Section of the Trade and Investment
Division of the UNESCAP.
APTIAD provides up-to-date online information on:
preferential trade agreements in which at least one
member is an ESCAP regional or associate member
scope of the agreements
status of the agreements
type of notification to the WTO
links to official legal texts of agreements, government
sites and other databases (ADB, ITC, UNCTAD)
